Grant Pecoff is a native San Diego contemporary artist celebrated for his “dreaming-while-awake” oil paintings that transform familiar landscapes into extraordinary, electric environments. Formally trained at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Pecoff draws inspiration from a lifetime of global travel, having lived and painted in cultural hubs ranging from The Bahamas to all over Europe to Kauai. His signature style features vibrant coastal seascapes, magical forests, and lush landscapes defined by a mesmerizing, surrealistic play of light. Using high-contrast palettes of electric blues, rich oranges, and fiery crimsons, Pecoff makes light appear to dance across his canvases, capturing the fluid essence and movement of the natural world.
