"This little series is about my reaction to the war.  Now, like many Ukrainians, all my emotions are suppressed because of the shock, because of the constant reading of terrible news, because my friends and relatives are dying, because the Russians are killing children. Outwardly, I look very calm, but inside I have a black hole, an emptiness. But sooner or later these emotions must break through, so I came up with metaphorical characters - a bird and a fish with human eyes. They will speak on the canvas instead of me." ~Daria Zaseda
