Artwork Backstory
"When you can't believe in war and your optimism resists reality, you laugh at it, trying to cheer up friends and family, saying 'you'll see, a couple of days and it's all over.'" ~ Daria Zaseda “'No one puts their children in a boat unless the water is safer than the land.' Warsan Shire Almost every day we hear how trouble happened somewhere in the world - an ecological or technical catastrophe, revolution or war - which generates the flow of refugees. We hear about it, and although we regret these people, we almost never think about what they feel... until it happens to you. Once in the morning you wake up in the center of Europe from the explosions and words of the husband 'the war began ...' shock!!! At first we lived 11 days in the bathroom, then, when the tension became unbearable, grabbed the child, two large dogs and ran the nowhere, with one backpack at all of us. Backpack, in which you pack the fragments of your life before saying goodbye to her forever. This series is about the stages of accepting what is happening, although I still seem to watch a nightmare, from which I can not wake up, I still didn't accept it totally." ~ Daria Zaseda
