Artwork Story
Jon had been frequently visiting a favorite place of his along San Diego’s world famous coastline. At low tide, like in several areas in San Diego, rock formations, seaweed, fish, and more life than you would ever believe is there is uncovered. Jon went back several times and photographed the area but no day was like this. The sun set and the sky exploded with color. A little bird climbed along the large rock in the distance and then stopped creating a little silhouette. It is almost like the little bird couldn’t believe what is was seeing either as it sat and watched over the next half hour as the sky lit up and colors changed. The variation and magnitude of color led to this image being named “Palette of the Sun”
