Floating Horizons

"This painting appeared to me as I was hiking the Continental Divide Trail, Southbound, from Canada to Mexico. It was in my last week on the trail, after hiking nearly 3000 miles. During this last leg of my journey in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, I got caught in a storm that lasted for days. It was harrowing weather. The painting came to me as the sun was setting. It was one of the first few hours rain free and I was thankful for the light playing on the clouds." ~Annie Varnot
