Devotion

"For this piece I felt like she embodied a feeling of dedication, or devotion to the people and places around her. "Pieces" of herself are separated from her body near her chest, and as you move towards the bottom of the figure she blends into the background. Her environment helped to shape her. I think this is also how I feel about CA. There are so many things about this landscape I grew up in that helped to define who I became. I didn't realize it until later on. My fiance and I also spent a lot of time moving around trying to find another place to live and after a few years, we ended up coming back home." ~Aiden Kringen
