In his ninth year as a watercolorist, Chuck’s efforts have garnered hundreds of awards for his artwork. He holds triple Signature status with the National Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies and The San Diego Watercolor Society.
Chuck paints full-time and built his reputation through a quick wit and his 6″ brush, flamboyantly embellishing paintings with props borrowed from large and intimate crowds… like lipstick & coffee. He teaches weekly “Experimental Watercolor” classes at the Art Academy of San Diego and is in demand as a discerning exhibition juror.
He served two years as Member Shows Director on the SDWS Board, Third VP on the NWS Board, plus a concurrent three-year stint as Newsletter Chair on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild. He is currently First VP on the Foothills Art Association Board.
