Tanya Abel and Ruth Westreich are multidisciplinary artists whose collaborative treescapes bring two distinct creative voices into one intuitive process. Abel, an award-winning mixed-media artist and founder of Artists For Good, is known for expressive acrylic and alcohol-ink work that connects beauty with positive impact. Westreich is also an award winning artist, activist, author, and photographer whose work is rooted in nature and its power to bring peace, open dialogue, and connect people.
Abel and Westreich paint side by side, simultaneously on the same canvas. Every color, layer, mark, and compositional choice is made together through an ongoing visual conversation. Their process requires trust, openness, and a willingness to respond to each other in real time. Neither artist’s hand ends where the other’s begins.
Signed “WestAbel,” the collection turns the familiar forest into luminous, imagined terrain. Saturated color, intricate patterns, and layered surfaces create treescapes that feel both energetic and meditative. From a distance, each painting carries the calm of a wooded landscape. Up close, rich textures and unexpected details invite discovery. The result is a third visual language – joyful, immersive, and wholly shared.
